Dean's Office of the Faculty of Law

The Dean's Office is the central management and administrative unit of the Faculty of Law.

The Dean chairs the Dean's Office and implements the decisions of the Faculty Council. He or she is responsible for representing the faculty within Leibniz University. The Dean is usually elected by the Faculty Council for two years from the group of university lecturers. Together with the Dean of Studies, they form the Dean's Office, which heads the faculty.

The Dean's Office represents the interests of the researching and teaching members of the faculty and is responsible for the sustainable provision of the resources that the members of the faculty require to fulfil their academic mission. This includes the administration, distribution and control of all resources in the areas of personnel, budget funds, rooms and buildings.
