On November 20, 2025, the general meeting of the Student Association of the Association for the Promotion of Tax Law at Leibniz University Hannover e.V. (VFS Hannover) took place.

Prior to this year's association general meeting, the Student Association held its own assembly, during which the board positions were newly filled. Emily Letkemann was elected as the new president of the Student Association. She will be supported in the future by the two vice presidents Laura Minneker and Marie Suong Müller. Marina Grüß was once again confirmed as the representative for economic topics, and Jasmin Wulf will remain the contact person at the university.

Special thanks go to the former president, Lennart Sindermann, and the previous vice president, Jacques Blum, who both have significantly shaped the work of the Student Association through their extraordinary commitment. It is all the more pleasing that they will continue to stay actively involved in the association. The Student Association wishes them all the best for the future.

In the coming association year, we will once again dedicate ourselves to our projects with much motivation and new ideas. This includes, in particular, the legal implementation of the Tax Law Clinic, through which we want to offer students practical access to tax law. Our goal is to create a permanent place for student tax consultancy and to make our field even more accessible.

We are also planning another exciting study trip, which will combine professional input, exchange, and shared experiences. We look forward to an active, productive and inspiring association year and to advancing our projects together.

After the general meeting, we toasted to the new association year at the association's own Christmas party.
