As part of the HannES Exam Trial Course, a written mock exam will be offered in February 2026. Below you will find important information regarding participation and the dates for this session.
General Information
This program is specifically aimed at students planning to participate in the mandatory subject exam sessions B/2026 and C/2026 (or later).
The mock exam aims to "simulate" the writing of exams under real exam conditions, providing students with an initial impression of the psychological and physical demands associated with the actual exam. For this purpose, a total of 6 exams will be offered over the course of 2 calendar weeks. The altered conditions compared to the regular exam trial course provide students with a better understanding of their performance level.
Correction Conditions
You must have been enrolled as a law student at Leibniz University until at least September 30, 2025.
The written exams will only be corrected if a minimum of 3 exams are completed and if all offered exams are completed within the respective mandatory subjects (Civil Law/Criminal Law/Public Law).
Options: Participation in all 6 exams (without subdivision); participation in all 3 exams from the mandatory Civil Law subject; participation in the 3 exams from the mandatory Criminal Law/Public Law subjects; participation in all 3 exams from the mandatory Civil Law subject and the exam from the mandatory Criminal Law subject (4 exams) or both exams from the mandatory Public Law subject (5 exams). Taking only individual exams is not possible (even if one exam per mandatory subject is completed).
The mock exams will only be corrected if they are completed using only the approved aids. Participants must bring the approved aids, writing materials, as well as final and draft paper themselves. In the case of an attempt to cheat, the respective exam will not be corrected.
Registration Information
Participation in the written mock exam requires binding registration via Stud.IP. Registration is now open. Places are limited and will therefore be allocated through a lottery on February 2, 2026, at 10:00 AM. For organizational reasons, two Stud.IP events have been created for this session. One for the exams in Civil Law and one for the exams in Criminal Law and/or Public Law.
To participate in all six exams, you must register for both events in Stud.IP; to subdivide, register only for Civil Law or Public Law/Criminal Law.
Due to the limited number of participants, students who do not participate despite registration without an excuse will be barred from the next mock exam session and cannot register. Further information on how to proceed in case of examination incapacity can be found here.
Please also note the information on Stud.IP.
