Stay abroad

As part of the degree program, a year abroad at a partner university must be completed. This stay abroad takes place as scheduled in the 5th/6th semester of the study program. The application phase for the stay abroad always starts at the beginning of the year via the LL.B. program coordinator. There are several partner universities available:

1.) LL.B.'s partner universities.

The program's own partner universities of the LL.B. program currently include Uniwersytet Wrocławski (Wroclaw, Poland), Universidad de Málaga (Málaga, Spain), Université Paris-Est Créteil (Paris, France), University of Lapland (Rovaniemi, Finland), University of Szeged (Szeged, Hungary) and Kyushu University (Fukuoka, Japan):

2. Erasmus+ partnerships of the Faculty of Law.

In addition, stays abroad can also be completed at partner universities of the Faculty of Law. However, this requires that at least two subjects in IT or IP law can be offered and taken. This has to be checked by the students on their own responsibility.

An overview of the partner universities can be found on the page of the ERASMUS+ partner universities of the Faculty of Law. These include the universities in Vienna (Austria), Thessaloniki (Greece), Oslo (Norway), Lisbon (Portugal) and many others.

For both the European LL.B. and partner universities of the Faculty of Law, there is the possibility of funding through the ERASMUS+ program. However, places at all partner universities are limited, so a selection procedure is used to decide on the allocation of places.
 

3. Independent organization as a "Freemover"

Finally, there is also the possibility to complete the stay abroad completely independently at a specially selected university. In this case, however, the student takes over the organization himself and must also ensure that the requirements are met. In this case, the regional coordinators of the International Office can only provide advice.
