The reform of EU payment services law

As part of a special event, a guest lecture will take place on May 18, 19 (Room 1502.1214), and May 20 (Room 1502.1311), 2026, each from 09:45 to 11:15 a.m., as a course on the topic “The reform of EU payment services law.”

We are pleased to welcome Prof. Dr. Pedro-José Bueso Guillén (LL.M. Eur.) from the University of Zaragoza, Spain, as the speaker.

All interested parties are warmly invited to attend. The event will be held in English.

About the Event

This compact lecture will deal with the reform of the Second Payment Services Directive (PSD2), both from the institutional and market perspective, as articulated in the proposal for the Third Payment Services Directive (PSD3), and from the contractual and user protection perspective, as configured in the proposed Payment Services Regulation (PSR). Issues relating to the euro as legal tender, both in cash and digital form, will be also addressed.
