Founded in 1365, the Alma Mater Rudolphina Vindobonensis celebrated its 650th anniversary in 2015.

It is considered the leading university in Austria and enjoys a high international reputation.

The Faculty of Law at the University of Vienna is the oldest and largest law faculty in the German-speaking world. Law has been researched and taught there for over 600 years.
