PD Dr. Dimitrios Parashu, MLE receives honorary professorship at partner university in India

A special honour for a member of our faculty: Dr. Dimitrios Parashu, MLE was recently awarded the honorary position of Distinguished Visiting International Professor by our partner university Symbiosis Law School in Pune (India).

Symbiosis Law School is a partner of the Faculty of Law of Leibniz University Hannover (LUH) in the Master's programme on European Legal Practice and enables students to spend a semester in India during the four semesters of their studies.

Mr Parashu has rendered outstanding services in recent years through his active cooperation with Symbiosis Law School. This included, among other things, a large number of guest lectures. This commitment has now been honoured with the award of an honorary professorship.

The Faculty congratulates Dr. Parashu on this special honour and would like to take this opportunity to thank him for his commitment to Symbiosis Law School.

Career

Dr. Parashu has been a research assistant at the Chair of Public Law, in particular European Law (Prof. Dr. Claas Friedrich Germelmann, LL.M.) and a lecturer at the Chair of German, European and International Civil and Commercial Law (Prof. Dr. Dr. Dr. h.c. Bernd H. Oppermann, Prof. h.c. (UMCS), LL.M. (UCLA)) at the Faculty of Law in Hanover. In June 2023, he completed his habilitation at our faculty. Dr. Parashu now works here as a private lecturer.
