After the habilitation committee decided to accept the written habilitation thesis of Dr Dimitrios Parashu, MLE (pictured right) on the 8th of March 2023, he gave an academic lecture on the 26th of April on the topic of "The treatment of competition law by the EU member states in a comparative assessment of private law" and held a teaching rehearsal on the 11th of May on the topic of "In-depth study of the EU free movement of goods".

On 27th of June 2023, Dean Prof. Dr Jan Eichelberger, LL.M.oec. (on the left) ceremoniously presented Dr Parashu with his habilitation certificate. Dr Parashu was granted authorisation to teach the subjects of European Law, Business Law and Comparative Law. The habilitation procedure has thus been successfully completed.

In his habilitation, Dr Parashu dealt with the topic "Rechtsvereinheitlichung durch Verfahrensgestaltung im europäischen Wettbewerbsrecht – Das (insbes. marktverhaltensrechtliche) Harmonisierungspotential von Anhörungsbeauftragten in bestimmten Wettbewerbsverfahren".

"Due to his international education, Dr Parashu was more suited to this habilitation project than almost anyone else. As part of his research work, he has also built up an impressive international network over the years, from which the entire faculty has benefited and continues to benefit enormously through the visits of countless renowned guest lecturers. The faculty has every reason to be proud to be able to habilitate such a committed researcher," congratulated the Dean.
