About the location

Wroclaw is the fourth largest city in Poland with 630,000 inhabitants and is located about 150 kilometers from the German border south of the Cat Mountains on the Oder River. The city is situated on 12 islands between many canals connected by numerous footbridges and bridges, and is therefore also called Poland's Venice because of its location and construction. It is also considered the greenest city in the country.

Wroclaw is a popular tourist destination due to its unique Old Town and its romantic atmosphere, which the city owes mainly to its many monuments. In its Old Town you can find the second largest medieval marketplace in Europe, many Gothic churches, as well as the city's landmark, Wroclaw City Hall. On the other side of the Odra River, you will find Cathedral Island, which is an after-holiday spot with beautiful walking paths away from the tourist season. The cathedral offers a magnificent view over the city.

In addition, due to its long and varied history, you can find many other sights in Wroclaw, including the Century Hall, which was declared a World Heritage Site by UNSECO. In addition to culture, there is also a wide range of leisure activities, especially for young people. Numerous clubs, bars and pubs make Breslau's nightlife incredibly interesting. The nearly 141,000 students at the various universities ensure that the city always remains lively at night.
