Junior Professorship for Civil Law, Civil Procedure Law, and Lawyer's Law
About the research area
In its research, the IPA deals with procedural law and the law governing the legal profession. In the area of procedural law, the Institute consciously follows the original academic practice in Germany of not assigning the procedural rules to the individual main disciplines, but of placing them as an independent subject alongside the three basic dogmatic disciplines. In the field of lawyers' law, the Institute attaches importance to placing current developments in a broader context. In addition, lawyer-oriented legal education in Hanover is made the subject of various scientific studies. For example, the topic of "lawyers' exams" is regularly taken up in publications.
